Designed to maximize the talent of our Ladies and Gentlemen, our learning and development programs ensure every employee is fully certified, prepared, and energized to provide legendary service. Below you will find an overview of our learning path for the first year Ritz-Carlton Lady or Gentleman, followed by a lifetime of learning opportunities for both management and non-management employees.

Learn about Year One

1. New Employee Orientation

welcomes Ladies and Gentlemen to The Ritz-Carlton, and shares our culture and philosophy. It provides a foundation that ensures all employees are set up for success.

2. Operational Certification

partners new Ladies and Gentleman with a Learning Coach in their department who demonstrates and encourages the skills and standards necessary to succeed in their role.

3. The Three Steps of Service

training program enables individuals to master The Ritz-Carlton approach to service in any circumstance. Communication skills, problem resolution techniques, and even internal relationships are discussed and practiced over the course of six separate training modules.

4. Day 21

is a follow-up workshop to New Employee Orientation. This workshop is designed to ensure employee engagement and success at the start of the journey with The Ritz-Carlton.

5. Day 365

celebrates the first year anniversary with The Ritz-Carlton, and is an opportunity to re-visit our Gold Standards and culture.

Selecting our new Ladies and Gentlemen

The selection process at The Ritz-Carlton is called “Commitment to Talent”. For Ladies and Gentlemen that choose to join The Ritz-Carlton, we are committed to helping you make the most of your unique talents and abilities as you grow your career with us.

Our selection process has four general steps that allow you to get to know us better, and for us to determine if you are the best fit for the position and the company: 1. Explore possibilities, 2. Apply and complete assessment, 3. Interview with locations, and 4. Receive offer. While it may take some time to go through each of the four steps, it helps both you and The Ritz-Carlton make the best decision. Not all candidates will go through each step, but each location you apply to will let you know if you have been advanced to the next step.

Our History

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company was established in 1983 with the purchase of The Ritz-Carlton in Boston, Massachusetts (USA) and the rights to the name The Ritz-Carlton. To this day, we are still steeped in the service philosophy and tradition of innovation of our namesake, famed hotelier Cesar Ritz, who redefined the luxury hospitality experience.

The Voyage Global Leadership Development Program

Be part of an elite group of selected future leaders, develop your knowledge of The Ritz-Carlton and its award-winning hospitality operations, and embark on a challenging and rewarding career. Voyage, a 12-18 month program offered in more than 30 countries, combines hands-on experience in your chosen business area with online interactive learning in our cutting-edge virtual environment.
